MAREX is a specialist in underwater non-destructive testing (NDT), inspection, quality control and technical expertise for iconic underwater structures. Our references include some of the world's largest public aquariums and ambitious architectural and commercial pools, and we apply the same methods to marine and coastal infrastructure.
Our founder brought offshore inspection methods to public aquariums, at a time when they were treated as leisure pools rather than chemical plants. That discipline defines how we work today: structured methods, certified inspectors, documented evidence.
Global deployment
MAREX has operated in South America, the United States, Africa, Europe, Russia, Asia and the Middle East. Teams and equipment are mobilised from our headquarters in Dubai and our local offices in several countries.

Capabilities per project
Each assignment is staffed with the profiles it requires: engineers, certified NDT inspectors, commercial divers, ROV and drone pilots. MAREX mobilises a network of specialist partners according to project requirements.
Bernard Duchenne, Founder & CEO
Engineer by training, pilot, offshore commercial diver, Lloyd's Register certified underwater NDT inspector, ROV and drone inspector. He leads MAREX and still dives on critical projects to verify safety plans and validate critical data.

Lloyd's Register certified underwater NDT inspector- Kirby Morgan certified technician
- Contractor in underwater works diploma and Air Diving Superintendent
- Certified inspection drone pilot
- HSE Wet-Bell Top-Up, Class 2, IMCA recognised
