Inspection of aquarium acrylic windows and pools
Acrylic panels, tunnels and pool walls inspected underwater, with the facility in operation.

Acrylic viewing windows, tunnels and pool walls are under permanent water pressure, in contact with seawater, cleaning products and marine life. MAREX diver inspectors examine the panels, their seals and their supporting structure underwater, and document each finding for the owner, the operator and the insurer.
We act as an independent expert: we only carry out repairs with the agreement of all parties, with no conflict of interest.
Service
Acrylic panel condition
Surface condition, scratches, crazing, bonding lines, inclusions and installation geometry of each panel.
Silicone seals and joints
Primary and secondary joints, adhesion, biofilm, damage caused by fauna, and leak detection.
Supports and surrounding structure
Battening, frames, concrete and rebar corrosion, stainless steel fittings in seawater.
Stress analysis and records
Photoelasticity (polarized-light stress analysis) where relevant, photos and video, and panel-by-panel records in a signed report.
How we work
Inspections are planned with the operator and the animal care teams, without draining and without closing to visitors. Findings are ranked by priority, with recommended actions and a recommended interval for the next inspection.
